Sodium Humate SHMP for Ceramic Slurry | Yin Ceramic
Improve ceramic slurry processing with Sodium Humate SHMP, a ceramic dispersing aid that helps reduce slurry viscosity, support suspension stability and improve green-body forming.
At Yin Ceramic, we provide Sodium Humate SHMP as a dispersing aid for ceramic processing. Sodium humate is a sodium salt of humic acids. In ceramic body slurry, its active groups adsorb onto ceramic particle surfaces and generate electrostatic repulsion. This helps reduce slurry viscosity and improve suspension stability, supporting slurry handling and forming.
Our product is intended for ceramic green-body slurries. Alongside dispersion, it provides water-retention and grinding-aid effects. It helps improve slip-forming performance and reduce drying cracks in green bodies. It can also be compounded with other dispersants according to raw material characteristics and process conditions.
Our catalogue lists a humic acid content of at least 70.0% on a dry basis, a pH value of 9.0–11.0 in a 1% aqueous solution, water-insoluble matter of no more than 10.0%, and moisture of no more than 15.0%. The listed appearance is black powder solid. The range includes YS-FZ001 granular and YS-FZ002 flake Sodium Humate, with humic acid content specifications adjustable according to customer requirements.
For use, slowly add the product to stirring water to prepare a 5%–10% solution. Add it to the slurry in batches and mix until evenly dispersed. The conventional dosage is approximately 0.3%–1.0% of the dry ceramic raw material weight, subject to adjustment for the materials and process. Due to its dark color, it is mainly intended for body mud rather than high-whiteness glaze products. Store indoors in a cool, dry place and protect it from moisture.
