The English name of the regenerative thermal incinerator is "Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer", so it is called "RTO" for short. The principle is to heat the organic waste gas to above 800°C to oxidize and decompose the VOC in the waste gas into carbon dioxide and water. The high-temperature gas generated by oxidation flows through a special ceramic regenerator, which heats up the ceramic body and "storages heat". This "storage" is used to preheat the organic waste gas that enters later, thereby saving fuel consumption for raising the temperature of the waste gas. The ceramic regenerator should be divided into three regional chambers, and each regenerator undergoes the procedures of heat storage-heat release-cleaning in turn, and works continuously in a cycle. Immediately after the regenerator “releases heat”, part of the treated and qualified clean exhaust gas should be introduced to clean the regenerator (to ensure that the VOC removal rate is above 95%), and the “heat storage” program can only be entered after the cleaning is completed. .
After the regenerative thermal oxidation treatment system is preheated to 700°C under the action of the burner, the waste gas bypass valve is closed, the waste gas forward valve is opened, and the waste gas fan starts to run. The waste gas is preheated to about 700°C through the regenerator first, and then Enter the oxidation chamber to fully oxidize and decompose, the temperature of the flue gas reaches about 800°C, the organic components in the exhaust gas are completely oxidized and decomposed, and the generated flue gas enters another group of regenerators, where heat exchange is performed, and finally discharged to atmosphere. The thermal oxidation device has three regenerators in total, and the three regenerators are arranged in a line, and the working status of the regenerators can be automatically and regularly switched in turn.
