Not every heating application allows a continuous rectangular heating surface. In specialized military equipment, internal structures may interrupt the available installation area, requiring heating elements to accommodate openings, projections or other mechanical features.

YOTTECH Notched Custom PTC Heating Film addresses this design consideration through a distinctive U-shaped cutout extending upward from the bottom center of the film. This opening divides the lower portion into two sections while preserving a connected heating area across the upper portion.

The visible heating pattern consists of horizontal conductive sections arranged around the central opening. Yellow conductive pathways outline the heating regions, while two orange connection terminals are positioned at the lower outer corners. This configuration provides an alternative to long-strip heating films, particularly where the heating element must fit around an existing component rather than extend along a straight surface.

The product incorporates PTC self-regulating heating technology and is intended for supplemental heating in military equipment operating under low-temperature conditions. Its shaped construction allows engineers to consider heating coverage and mechanical clearance together during equipment development.
