Custom-Shaped PTC Heating Film for Parking Lithium Batteries | YOTTECH

Parking lithium batteries are commonly used to supply electrical power to onboard equipment when a vehicle is stationary. In cold environments, battery temperature becomes an important consideration, particularly when the system must support charging or provide power after extended parking periods.

YOTTECH Custom-Shaped PTC Heating Film is intended for these applications, offering a heating element with a distinctive geometric design. Instead of a conventional rectangular outline, the film features angled edges on both sides, creating a narrower profile near the electrical connection areas. Two orange connection tabs are positioned opposite each other, while the central surface contains a series of closely arranged heating patterns.

This shaped construction provides an alternative for battery assemblies where a standard rectangular heating sheet may not match the available installation area. The opposing connection points also allow designers to consider electrical routing from both sides of the heating element.

Using PTC self-regulating heating technology, the film can support lithium battery preheating during low-temperature operation. Its integration should take account of the battery enclosure, cell arrangement and temperature control requirements.
